Important things to take note of when handling coins

Never touch or handle the surface areas of the coins with naked fingers or hands as it could leave fingerprints or scratches behind, especially with proof coins. Get a pair of soft cloth gloves to handle the coins. When gloves are not reachable, carefully handle the coins by the rim.

If you would like to conserve the coins, seek professional services (e.g. Numismatic Conservation Services, NCS), never clean the coins or wipe the coins with cloths, tissues etc, as it would leave scratches and destroy the luster of the coin. It would significantly reduce the value of your coin too.

Make sure that if the container such as capsules or vinyl flips for your coin is made with plastic, it does not contain PVC, as it would damage your coin.
